Ricasso Spindle Table Lamp
The Ricasso Spindle Table Lamp is an elegant stem-like form with a hand-braided surface. Aimee uses intricate interlacing stitches to bind strips of leather and cord together to produce a delicate lace effect that contrasts with the timber below. The braiding technique is inspired by European Sword Handles from the Wallace Collection, London. The wooden base is hand turned on a lathe in Gloucestershire and finished in Aimee’s studio in Berkshire.

Due to the nature of leather, variations in tone may occur from batch to batch. With care, natural leather will develop a unique and beautiful patina over time.
